Franchise Development Project Manager

The Franchise Development Project Manager will serve as the principal point of contact for franchisees who have entered the store development phase within PGP’s Client Franchisor brands. As part of PGP’s franchisor development support team, the Project Manager plays a role in ensuring that development projects proceed on schedule, in accordance with the Brand Design Guide, and that activities are coordinated with other members of the support team as appropriate. His/ Her primary responsibility will include management and tracking of the development process from LOI / Lease signing to opening.

In addition, the Franchise Development Project Manager may take on multiple responsibilities on a as a needed basis or wear multiple hats to get the job done within Pivotal Growth Partner’s consultant business model.

Responsibilities
  • One-on-one phone & remote assistance for all new franchises from signing to opening.
  • Management and tracking of the development process through Franconnect Store Opening Module from signing to opening.
  • Update project development tools as appropriate with respect to sequence of work and critical path on both a case-by-case and systemic basis for those work activities following lease signing.
  • Manage Franconnect store opening checklist and support documents.
  • Gain knowledge of, and hold franchisees accountable to, the Brand Design Guide which includes general plans and specifications for construction components and equipment.
  • Establish AE and GC relationships and maintain list of approved firms.
  • Maintain a record of each franchisee’s build-out costs on a shared platform.
  • Support Franchisees with General Contractor selection and Bid Reviews.
  • Utilize critical path milestones to drive projects ahead and forecast openings.
  • Responsible for departmental and cross-functional collaboration necessary to improve development systems and processes to promote more streamlined and efficient store openings.
  • Utilize construction drawings to manage and maintain database for all site and store characteristics within Franconnect.
  • Load documents into project management tool as appropriate including:
    •  Leases
    • Construction Drawings
    • Construction bids
    • Weekly construction reports and photographs
    • Equipment installation
    • Communication records
    • Milestone Dates
  • Facilitate discussions with client teams to problem solve and fine-tune processes and procedures to ensure a streamlined opening process.
  • Facilitate periodic requests to update franchisee login credentials into Franconnect system.
  • Facilitate updates to vendors / suppliers of project pipeline status monthly to ensure accurate pre-ordering / supplies.
  • Coordinate with vendors such as design and equipment on process changes / issues. Schedule coordination meetings as required.
Education, Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Construction Management preferred but not required
  • Minimum 5 years Prior Construction Project Management Experience preferred
  • Franchising Experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of or ability to gain fluency in FranConnect Franchise Software
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral
  • Ethical and professional, with an ability to influence others, and identity and overcome store development obstacles
  • Ability to identity and overcome store development obstacles
  • Competitive and driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive platform, including Sheets / Excel, and intuitive technology capabilities.
  • Must be able to spend 90% of the workday in front of a computer or on the phone with an ability to travel as required

Franchise Contract Coordinator

The Franchise Contract Coordinator is responsible for all processes associated with the administration of, and compliance with, the franchise agreement process – including preparing, executing, amending, and renewing agreements. The Franchise Contract Coordinator will also provide administrative assistance to the PGP organization and its client brands.

Responsibilities
  • Aid in the pre-qualification of franchisee prospects.
  • Manage the process for new franchise agreements, transfers of ownership, renewals, terminations and ownership modifications while ensuring timely attention to contract requirements.
  • Manage Docu-Sign platform, Docu-Sign templates, and draft agreements through platform.
  • Prepare Franchise Agreement Addendums for all Brand directives and Franchise community initiatives, and define the process for completion.
  • Responsible for oversight of a “Deal Status Report” that provides current information concerning Franchise Sales transactions in the pipeline to the management team.
  • Maintain and update the Franchise database system that retains franchisee, entity, and contractual information.
  • Manage filing and tracking of all documents including development agreements, franchise agreements, franchisee files, transfers, terminations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Franchise department and outside counsel.
  • Assist attorneys with franchise registrations, renewals, and other tasks involving contact with clients, regulators, and other third parties.
  • Update the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) annually with review by General Counsel and the Franchise team, and ensure filing with applicable states.
  • Oversee formal franchisee onboarding processes for PGP portfolio franchise brands to begin the store development process.
  • Administration and management oversight of client CRM systems such as Franconnect.
Education, Skills and Requirements
  • Degree in Sales, Business or Paralegal Studies preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in franchising a plus, but not required.
  • Previous experience with Docu-Sign and Franconnect preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to interact with all levels of the organization including management, peers, and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion with a sensitivity to deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and business savvy approach and an ability to work independently.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to adapt in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
